The division algorithm will give
x 4 + 3 x 3 + x 2 + 3 = ( x + 2 ) ( x 3 + x 2 x + 2 ) 1.
Thus
( x + 2 ) ( x 3 + x 2 x + 2 ) = ( x 4 + 3 x 3 + x 2 + 3 ) + 1.
