We have
log n n + 1 = log n log ( n + 1 )
Telescope, telescope, telescope.
Alternatively,
(1) log ( 1 + 1 n ) 1 n
as n cries out for the comparison test.
Recall (or prove) that
lim x 0 log ( 1 + x ) x = 1
This means
lim n log ( 1 + 1 n ) 1 n = 1
which is what I write in (1).
