Let the vertex form of quadratic function
be
f(x)=a(xh)4+k, whese (h,k) is
the vertex.
We are given: vertex is (2, 4)
n=2,k=4
f(x)=a(x2)2+4
We are aslo given that function
(1,14)
Plug in f(x)=14 and x=1 we get
14=a(12)2+4
14=9a+4
144=99a=18
a=2
f(x)=2(x2)2+4
