The eqvation of a parabola in vertax form is
f(x)=y=a(xh)2+k..(i)
where (h,k) are the coordinates of the vertex
and a is constant
here (h,k)=(2,3)
y=a(x2)2+3..(ii)
Point (0, -1)
Substitute these coordinates for x and y
x=0,y=1
Put the valve of x and y in equation (ii)
1=a(02)2+3
a=4a+3
4a=4
a=1
Put the value of a in equation (ii)
y=f(x)=(x2)2+3
f(x)=(x2)2+3 is the quadratic
function
