Let y2f(x)=a(xh)2+k be the equation of the quadratic where verfex is (h,k)
Given that, the quadratik function with vertex (1,4) and passing through the point (-2,31).
then, (h,k)=(1,4)
So,the equation becomes,
y=a(x1)2+4
and it posses through the point(-2,31)
Then, 31=a(21)2+4
314=a(3)2
9a=27
a=279=3
Therefore, the equation in the verfex form is.
f(x)=3(x1)2+4
