y = m x + c
Intial position of driver from home is 500 miles which implies at x=0, y=500
500 = m ( 0 ) + c c = 500
Therefore,
y = m x + 500
Also, the speed of the driver is 50 mph
Speed = Distance Time m = 50
Therefore, the distance of the driver from home is
y = 50 x + 500
