We know that,The equation of a straight line is given by,
y=mx+c
where, m represents the gradient or slope and c represents y - intercept.

Comparing the given equation with y=mx+c we get,

y=x−16
y=(−1)x+16
i.e (=y=mx+c)

So slope(m)= −1
