Standard TV has got aspect ratio 4:3. This means its screen has ratio of length and width as 4:3. A 70" TV has length of the diagonal 70".
Let its length be 4x" and wudth be 3x"
So its diagonal ( 4 x ) 2 + ( 3 x ) 2 = 5 x
So 5 x = 70
x = 14
Hence length 4 x = 4 14 = 56
width = 3 x = 3 14 = 42
