Since this is an arithmetic sequence which is defined on natural numbers the first six terms can simply be obtained by substituting n with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
i.e.
a 1 = 3 - 1 = 2
a 2 = 3 - 2 = 1
a 3 = 3 - 3 = 0
a 4 = 3 - 4 = - 1
a 5 = 3 - 5 = - 2
a 6 = 3 - 6 = - 3
