m = y 2 - y 1 x 2 - x 1
m = 0 - 8 0 - ( - 9 )
m = - 8 9
The slope of a line perpendicular to that line would be the negative reciprocal. To find this, invert the numerator and the denominator and multiply by -1, which gives you m = 9 8
So, the slope of any line perpendicular to the line passing through (-9, 8) and (0,0) is 9 8
