Slope of line joining ( x 1 , y 1 ) and ( x 2 , y 2 ) is given by
y 2 - y 1 x 2 - x 1
Hence slope of line joining (25,−2) and (30,34) is
34 - ( - 2 ) 30 - 25
36 5
As the product of slopes of two lines perpendicular to each other is −1, slope of line perpendicular to the one joining (25,−2) and (30,34) is
- 1 36 5 = - 5 36
