y = ( 1 4 ) x + 3
It’s in slope-intercept form y=mx+c
Slope m = ( 1 4 )
Slope of perpendicular line = - ( 1 m ) = - 4
Point-slope equation form is y - y 1 = m ( x - x 1 )
Equation of the perpendicular line passing through point (0,6) is
y - y 1 = - ( 1 m ) ( x - x 1 )
y - 6 = - 4 ( x - 0 )
4 x + y = 6
