MathJax(?): Can't find handler for document MathJax(?): Can't find handler for document calculate the slope m using the gradient formula
x m = y 2 - y 1 x 2 - x 1
let ( x 1 , y 1 ) = ( - 3 , 6 ) and ( x 2 , y 2 ) = ( - 2 , - 3 )
m = - 3 - 6 - 2 - ( - 3 ) = - 9 5 = - 9 5
the perpendicular slope is the negative reciprocal of m
m perpendicular = - 1 - 9 5 = 5 9
