Define:
P= perimeter
L= length
W= width
P = 2 ( L + W ) = 54
XX L + W = 27
L = W + 3
XX ( W + 3 ) + W = 27
XX 2 W = 24
XX W = 12
and since L=W+3
XX L = 15
