f 2 lines are parallel, it means that their slopes are same.
y 1 = m x 1 + b 1
y 2 = m x 2 + b 2

m is the slope and it has to be same in each line. So in this equation, we have to convert to y=mx+b.
3x−y=1
y=3x−1
As we see m or the slope is 3.
