It is the property of the conductor by which it opposes the flow of current through it.
SI unit of resistance is Ohm.
How resistance is different from resistivity?
Resistivity depends upon the nature of material used while the resistance depends upon the physical characteristics like length area of cross- section.
Resistance is directly proportional to length of the wire while inversely proportional to area of cross section.
a) If length is doubled then resistance will also get doubled.
b) If cross section area is halved then it's resistance will become doubled.
