The slope of the line passing through (−13,9) and (−4,12) is
m 1 = y 2 - y 1 x 2 - x 1 = 12 - 9 - 4 + 13 = 3 9 = 1 3
The product of slopes of the pependicular lines is m 1 m 2 = - 1
m 2 = - 1 m 1 = - 1 1 3 = - 3
Therefore ,the slope of any line pependicular to the line passing
through (−13,9) and (−4,12) is −3
