Heron's Formula area (A) of atriangle whose sides have lengths a, b, andc is
A = s ( s a ) ( s b ) ( s c )
where s is the semiperimeter of the triangle:
s = a + b + c 2
So here the semiperimeter s would be (65+67+72)/2 =204/2=102
A = 102 ( 102 65 ) ( 102 67 ) ( 102 72 )
A = 102 ( 37 ) ( 35 ) ( 30 )
A = 3962700 meters squared
Now divide the area by the amount of area the paint covers,
If you typed the units of the paint wrong and the units of thepaint are in meters the answer is:
3962700 70 = 28.4379 cans so you would need approx29cans
But if the units were in square feet convert first,
To convert square feet to m²multiply by .0929
So 70 sq ft = 6.5032128square meters
3962700 6.5032128 = 306.103033 cans or approx 307 cans
